Ben’s dedication within the health industry stems from his family. With his aunt being a physiotherapist he was interested in health and physical activity at a young age. Ben’s journey to becoming an exercise physiologist started at school participating in a sport and recreation TAFE course which lead to further education studying a bachelor of exercises science degree, and finally a masters of clinical exercise physiology.
What motivates Ben is his passion for health and working with clients with a variety of health presentations. Working mainly in the home visit department Ben enjoys developing deeper client rapport through seeing his clients within their home environment and enabling greater comfort.
Ben enjoys working with any case that is presented his way but his interests involve neurological conditions (Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis) and chronic pain.
Currently, he works predominantly with clients who have a vast array of physical disabilities such as acute/chronic injuries. In addition his special interests include neurological disorders, traumatic brain injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain, developmental disorders and much more.
Ben is currently managing our ‘Walk Your Way to Good Health‘ program, a weekly outdoor walking program predominantly designed for, but not exclusive to, assisting with rehabilitation post-surgery or injury. With one month free, and only $5 thereafter, this program is delivered in conjunction with, and subsidised by, Gold Coast Health.
Benjamin primarily conducts home visits and telehealth sessions, but is also available at our Temple Gym Varsity Lakes clinic on Wednesday mornings.
