Jess grew up in the Tweed and discovered her own passion for exercise through her experience as a rower. She began studying at university with the original goal of becoming a physiotherapist, however discovered exercise physiology along the way, fell in love with the profession and the rest is history.
She is extremely goal-driven and aims to bring that out in her clients as much as possible. She believes that no matter how big or small the goal (be it getting out of a chair, returning to work, or running a marathon), having a goal to work towards makes all the difference to helping her clients achieve meaningful results and improvements to their quality of life.
Jess believes that client-centred care is at the core of successful and effective treatment. She strives to treat the person, not the condition, and to provide care that blends evidence-based treatment with as much fun and variety as possible.
Jess enjoys the variety of working with people of all ages and ability levels, however has a particular interest in neurological conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy and Stroke recovery. She loves the challenge that comes with finding new and creative ways to adapt traditional exercises to her clients’ capacities. She gets the most satisfaction and joy from helping her clients to learn new skills and do things they never thought possible.
